Crossing Texas...

Not all travel days are created equal. To paraphrase an old joke, "The worst day on a motorcycle is better than the best day working" Well, today was relaxing, but not particularly exciting.

This is what it looked like on our ride this morning.

And this afternoon...

And later this afternoon.

There just isn't a lot going on in Central Texas. Well, that's not entirely true.

Mmmm... Ice Cream... And now, back to the road.

There was one interesting occurance today. We arrived in San Diego!

San Diego, Texas, is a bit different from San Diego, CA. First of all, its population is only about 4,000 people. Secondly, there is only one main street. And now our final eighty miles...

Today was just a travel day. Hopefully tomorrow we'll see some more of the gulf coast on our way to New Orleans!

See you tomorrow... - Peter

That's pretty funny. I liked the Dairy Queen interlude.

BTW - where did you go? Which roads? I have been following you with Google Earth. (Yes, yes, I know it is the competition, but until Yahoo comes out with Yahoo Earth, it's all I got.) The only way I know which roads you've taken is by the names of the towns you have gone through. So, what are the roads?

Other than that, I guess it is safe to assume it is exactly the same as San Diego, CA? Shreesh wants to know...

I love Texas!
It is almost a certainty that the people of San Diego, Texas are cleaner, more odor-free, have less ectoparasites, and use foot powder on a more reqular basis than their bretheren in San Diego, CA!

Cleaner? More odor free? Use more foot powder? Have you been to Texas?

Reeves, the Lady grew up in Texas and went to finishing school in Texas, so beware, you are treading on hallowed ground there.
Don't make me post a recording of Badtzy and Channi (Mr Peepers and Skittles) singing the Texas State Anthem to convince you of our loyalty.
